Tyler Merrill
Tyler Merrill, B.S., CPT

Tyler has developed an outstanding resume that enables him to train clientele with a wide range of limitations, goals, and abilities. Tyler earned a B.S in Sports and Fitness management in 1996. Because of his impressive exercise background at Central Washington University, he was selected for an internship position at the UCSD Spine & Joint conditioning center. Only 8 applicants from across the country were selected for this honor. Shortly after the internship, Tyler would be offered a position on staff at UCSD post-physical therapy center. Within 2 years he was named clinic director. He has earned many certifications through the years. Some of which include: National Academy of Sports Medicine, Apex Nutrition Inc., MedX Lumbar Spine Treatment and Assessment, Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness certification. In addition to personal training, Tyler has contributed as a fitness columnist for numerous magazines and papers alike. He is a fitness speaker for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and has presented nutrition and fitness workshops across the west coast. He has appeared as a fitness expert on NBC, Fox, KUSI, and ABC. Tyler’s passion for exercise includes being a 2x powerlifting champion and an 8x bodybuilding champion.

Alisha Matthews
Alisha Matthews, MBA, B.S., CPT

Alisha conveys her passion and strength to live a healthy lifestyle with each of her clients. She is known for inspiring trust from customers, colleagues, and team members through open communication. Alisha continually educates herself in the areas of fitness, sports conditioning, education and business. Her experience includes nutritional guidance, group fitness classes, weight lifting, core strengthening, relaxation, healthy cooking and personal training people of all ages, shapes and sizes.

Alisha personally designs each Treatment Plan using techniques proven to show progress by everyone she has trained. Each workout is completely different and is a surprise preventing the boredom of a repetitive workout.

With Alisha’s nutritional guidance and fitness routines total fat lost has averaged from 3%-10% and 3 – 15 total inches lost just in a four week time frame. Alisha is continually educating herself to ensure she uses the latest techniques to prevent injury and promote muscle gain and fat lost.

Alisha has been continuing her professional education since 1998, and holds a Personal Training Certification by NASM, Group Fitness Instructor Certification by ASFA, Certified Silver Sneakers Instructor (Elderly Training), CPR/AED Certification, Bachelors Degree in Social Work from SDSU, and an MBA from Ashford University. Alisha has completed the SD Rock n Roll Marathon and multiple half marathons, 10Ks, 5Ks, and sprint triathlons. She also volunteered for the Rock and Roll Marathon, San Diego Track Club, and a coach for the Special Olympics Volleyball Team.

Alisha Matthews has lived in San Diego most of her life except for a 3 month summer immersion program in San Sebastian, Spain. She has been lucky to travel to various locations in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Alisha can be found everyday hiking, practicing yoga, eating healthy, and spending quality time with the people she cares about.
